3 YEARS OLD--It's great to be a Boy!

As usual, I got to share my birthday with my hero--my Daddy.

Being a boy rocks!!  Check out how awesome my new toys are!!  I had my 3 year old check up at the doctor and had to get some shots.  Mom properly prepared me though and I was determined to be a "tough guy" rather than a "handsome young man" like Lorin calls me (it actually makes me cry when she calls me cute or handsome.):  Anyway, at the doctor when she told me it was time for my shots, I crawled up on the table, lifted up my arm sleeve and wouldn't let mom even sit next to me.  I bore that shoulder and showed the nurse how a real man takes his shots!!  I was 32 pounds (50%) and in the 75-90% for height.

 One day we went to lunch at school with Ryan.  I let Graf wear his Superman cape.  Before I knew it, the whole lunchroom had transformed into Spidermans that like to fight Superman, and swooning ladies.  Graf was flying around the gym showing his adversaries just how it's done.  The teachers were going nuts trying to keep control.  Mommy power is the only real power apparently--I caught Superman and had everyone quieted down in seconds ;)

Funny Story:  Mom and I were riding in the car and I was desperate to learn how to blow the bubbles she had just bought me at the store.  I was getting so frustrated and Mom was trying to help me stay calm and repeat the rules to bubble blowing...soft and slow!  Finally after a little fit of frustration while I was still holding the blower up to my mouth, I accidentally coughed!  BUBBLES EVERYWHERE!!  And that's how I learned to blow bubbles ;)

"What?  Really???"  In DC visiting old friends...and doing this!!

 

So, funny story.  We had a guy come fix our door and Graf took advantage of the captive audience.  This poor, Spanish speaking, bloke got a 1/2 hour earful about whatever Graf wanted to talk about from how amazing and strong his Daddy was to the Superman underwear he has on.  Somehow the random responses "ohhhh" were enough to keep Graf happy.  Hilarious!
